1. Accounts
Provide a valid email address, keep your credentials secure and take responsibility for activity under your account. Do not impersonate others, transfer accounts or use an account to evade restrictions.
2. User content and license
You retain the rights you hold in your original content under applicable law. To store, process and display content according to your settings, you grant Echo a nonexclusive license limited to what is necessary to provide and improve the service.
Nearby users may view and share public echoes. Use on the launch screen requires separate permission and human review. If you withdraw permission, your content will leave the launch screen and its submission queue.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Posting unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing or pornographic content, violent threats, or content that endangers others.
- Disclosing another person's private information, exact home address, contact details, identity documents or other sensitive information.
- Sending spam, committing fraud, manipulating reviews or bypassing access controls.
- Disrupting the service, attacking it through reverse engineering, bulk scraping, or accessing accounts or data without authorization.
- Placing echoes in dangerous, restricted or private areas, or ignoring your surroundings while using maps or AR.
4. Content moderation
Under the Community Guidelines, Echo may filter content, limit visibility, reject launch screen submissions, delete content or restrict accounts. Users can report content and block other users. We consider the content, context, history and safety risks when taking action.
5. Safety in the real world
While using maps, the camera or AR, remain aware of roads, vehicles, terrain and local rules. Do not use Echo while driving, cycling or doing anything that requires your full attention. Do not enter dangerous or unauthorized places to find or place echoes.
6. Service changes
Networks, device capabilities, location accuracy, third-party cloud services and maintenance may cause temporary unavailability. Features, rules and presentation may change during testing.
7. Account deletion and restrictions
You can stop using Echo and delete your account in Profile at any time. For serious or repeated violations of law, these terms or the Community Guidelines, Echo may restrict content or accounts and, where feasible, provide an explanation or a way to appeal.
